Experience the True Meaning of Giving: Volunteers Needed to Help the Homeless in November

Stanbridge College REACH – Beyond the Classroom™ is looking for volunteers to help the homeless on November 17th and November 24th in Costa Mesa. At these events you can experience the true meaning of giving as you support hundreds of homeless, low-income and elderly people and families in November and over the Thanksgiving holiday.

This month we have several events that need extra help:

Sorting and Distributing Food at the Free Pantry Organization – November 17th

Volunteers are needed to help sort and distribute free groceries and household items to those in need at the Free Pantry Organization.

Prepare and Serve a Warm Meal to the Homeless – November 17th and November 24th

Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve a warm meal to people and families in need on November 17th and Thanksgiving weekend, November 24th. Many of these people aren’t ability to travel to see their family. Some may not have any family at all to share this holiday month with. Your support will give them the comfort they need.

New Shoes for the Homeless

In November and December, Stanbridge College REACH is working to donate new shoes to the homeless at Lighthouse Ministries. On November 24th, volunteers helping serve the Thanksgiving meal will also help measure shoe sizes for each person. Shoe measuring will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. after the Thanksgiving meal is served.
