Giving is a Year Round Need: Help Feed the Homeless in May with Stanbridge College
Stanbridge College REACH – Beyond the Classroom invites you to volunteer to help the homeless in May. Care for the homeless is most talked about in the winter months because of the freezing temperatures and the spirit of giving in the holiday season. But the summer months bring a surge in homeless populations across the nation. Many landlords are reluctant to evict a family during the colder months. And although it may be warmer outside, sunstroke is a serious problem for the homeless, who aren’t allowed to stay inside shelters during the day.
Giving is a year round need. Join us this month to support our Orange County homeless community:
Sorting and Distributing Food at the Free Pantry Organization
Help sort and distribute free groceries and household items to those in need at the Free Pantry Organization in Costa Mesa. The Free Pantry Organization is also in need of donations of jars of peanut butter to offer to the needy. If you are able to donate, you may drop donations off to Victoria Sauer in room 202.

Prepare and Serve a Warm Meal to the Homeless
Help prepare and serve a warm meal to over 250 homeless and low-income people and families in Costa Mesa.
