This lecture and guided demonstration will review the technologies that should be considered when designing a highly available virtual solution based on VMWare vSphere.

- Product Overview, including licensing
– Physical Server Architecture
– Storage Implementations – DAS, iSCSI, FC
– Memory Considerations
– Networking (including distributed vSwitches)
– Update Manager

INSTRUCTOR BIO:

Phillip Lyle is a senior IT instructor at Stanbridge College, and the IT Director in charge of global network operations at Resources Global Professionals.   Phil has over 14 years of experience working with medium-to-large IT environments utilizing the latest Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, VMware, SharePoint, Cisco, and storage-based technologies.
