The Benefits of Occupational Therapy for Stroke Survivors  For survivors of strokes and their families, the road to recovery can be a rocky and emotionally draining path. But according to the American Occupational Therapy Association, if stroke survivors can incorporate occupational therapy into their recovery program, the survivor and caregivers can live a happier and fuller life.

According to the article, “Research shows that clients who receive occupational therapy interventions are significantly less likely to deteriorate and more likely to be independent in their ability to perform activities of daily living at the end of treatment.”
