Stanbridge Cares: Students Serve Homeless at Someone Cares Soup Kitchen
Stanbridge College students volunteered at Someone Cares Soup Kitchen, preparing and serving a warm meal to homeless people in Orange County. The meal, made fresh every day, is nutritious and tasty including vegetable soup, lettuce and fruit salads, hearty and filling side dishes, breads and muffins, desert, milk and water.
Stanbridge College volunteers prepared and served Sunday morning meals through Someone Cares Soup Kitchen as part of an ongoing service learning effort. Founded by Merle Hatleberg, the kitchen has served 58% of Orange County’s homeless for over 20 years.
